8K Player VIP Setup

8K Player VIP is the player we recommend when you want the highest available picture quality and a minimal interface. Activation is per device, so it takes one extra step compared with a standard player.

Before you start

  • A device capable of 4K or 8K playback
  • Your subscription credentials
  • The device key shown inside the app

Step by step

  1. Install and open the player

    Install 8K Player VIP on your device and launch it. The first screen shows a device key or MAC address.

  2. Register the device key

    Send the device key to your provider, or enter it in the activation panel of your client area. Activation is applied on the server side and usually completes within a few minutes.

  3. Load the subscription

    Enter your Xtream Codes credentials so the player can fetch categories, artwork and the guide directly.

  4. Turn on the highest quality stream

    In playback settings, set the preferred quality to the maximum your television supports, and enable hardware decoding.

  5. Verify the actual resolution

    Play a known 4K channel and check the player information overlay. If it reports 1080p, either the source channel is HD only or the HDMI cable or port is limiting the output.

Make it work better

  • 8K playback needs roughly 50 Mbps of stable bandwidth and a genuinely 8K-capable panel.
  • Use a certified high-speed HDMI cable — a marginal cable is a common cause of a 4K image falling back to 1080p.
  • If activation does not take effect, reboot the device so the app re-reads its device key.

Common questions

How long does activation take?

Usually a few minutes. If the device key has not been registered on the account, the player will keep showing the activation screen.

Do I need an 8K television?

No. The player works at any resolution and will deliver 4K or HD to a matching panel. An 8K set is only required for 8K sources.

Can I move the activation to a new device?

Yes, but activation is per device. Contact support to release the old device key before registering a new one.
